Termoli has won, for the year 2007, the blue flag for its water quality, environmental education and information. The city is not new to this award: indeed Termoli has being awarded since 2002 with no stops!

The Blue Flag Programme is owned and run by the independent non-profit organisation Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development at beaches/marinas through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and other services.

Over 2500 beaches all around the world have been awarded this year. Among the italian cities awarded there are Rimini, Riccione, Misano Adriatico, Cattolica, and many more...

Thanks to this award, Termoli is again one of the best beach in Europe. Since these days lots of tourists, such as German and French, come to Termoli to spend their holiday in a vibrant atmosphere, full of life , colours and amusements.

Hotels are almost full booked, restaurants are cooking their best fish and events give life to the city. In few days will be published the calendar for the main Termoli's event: the "Estate Termolese" (Summer in Termoli).

During the summer period, form early June to early September, every night there is something to do: live concerts, amusements, theatre events, cinema "under the stars", an ice-cream walking down the suggestive streets of the old town...
